Regis Lima Martial Arts students win 31 medals

Regis Lima Martial Arts of Spring Hill and Port Richey competed in the AAU Florida State Tae Kwon Do Championship Nationals Qualifier in Winter Haven on April 24.

The 16 students were among almost 500 competitors from all over the state and brought home 31 medals. All of the athletes qualified for the AAU Nationals Tae Kwon Do Championships in Fort Lauderdale, which will be held from June 30 to July 3.

“We have been competing with AAU since 2004, and now we have a brand new team with very young athletes that have already shown they have a bright future ahead of them,” master Regis Lima said. “I’m very proud of them and happy with the support of their families to our school.”
